I had a funny thing happen to me this week and I felt compelled to share it with my readers. I got back to the office yesterday evening and there on my desk was a big envelope from Re/Max Corporate Headquarters. Hmmmmm. I opened it up wondering what it could possibly contain. To my amazement, it contained a letter from their legal department! Continue Reading…

Okay, I’ve spent a couple of weeks “teasing” you about the Zero2Hero Agent Challenge 2010 contest. Good news is we now have about half the contestants we need, so there’s still time to enter! I know there are many of you out there who are hesitating… Part of you wants to be a part of the contest but you’re scared. Or maybe you want to know a little more before going for it. So, I thought it might be a good idea to tell you a little more about what you can expect and explain just what we have planned for the Zero2Hero Agent Challenge 2010 contest. Last week I announced plans for a national agent competition that our company is hosting. I threw it out there using a lighthearted, humorous approach… and for whatever reason, the response has been horrible. Now I realize that this isn’t American Idol and I don’t expect 20,000 people to turn out for an audition like they did in Chicago on last Tuesday night’s show… but I know there are some of you reading this article who are struggling in your practice. Several years ago I began sharing my listing presentation with agents across the world. For those of you who don’t know, I developed a listing presentation that allowed me to list over a hundred individual homes in a single year, all at an 8% commission in a market that typically listed for 6% or less. I later wrote a book titled The Ultimate Listing Presentation, that showed other agents a step-by-step process of how they could list at a premium as well. But while I love selling my books, I also believe in “giving back” so I also released it in eBook format and as a seminar by email, both for free. Continue Reading…

Wow! That was quite a gap! Six weeks since my last article! Some of you have emailed me and asked where I went. Well for those of you who follow this blog, my apologies for the delay, but we had no choice. We’ve been moving to brand new offices. And with that move, we took the down time to do a complete site redesign. Hope you like it. Continue Reading…
